Policies

The Department of Fraternity and Sorority Life strives to create policies in collaboration with students, faculty, staff, and inter/national sorority and fraternity staff in order to promote equity and foster a sense of community.

FSL works closely with the Department of Student Life and Department of Student Conduct & Academic Integrity to ensure our organizations and members are following all applicable policies and responsibilities.

Questions related to policy can be directed to FSL by calling (470) 578-2838.

  • Kennesaw State University defines hazing as any intentional, negligent or reckless action, activity or situation that endangers or is likely to endanger the physical health of an individual or causes an individual pain, embarrassment, ridicule or harassment as a condition or precondition of gaining acceptance, membership, office or other status in a student group, whether or not such group is formally recognized by the University and regardless of the individual’s willingness to participate. The expressed or implied willingness of the victim(s) is not a defense.

Any suspected violation of this policy should be reported to the Department of Fraternity & Sorority Life or the Department of Student Conduct & Academic Integrity.

Please review the KSU Anti-Hazing Policy for further clarification of the policy.

  • The Department of Fraternity & Sorority Life is committed to promoting equitable policies and guidelines for the colonization of chapters from inter/national sororities and fraternities at Kennesaw State University.

We encourage inter/national sororities and fraternities seeking to establish a colony at Kennesaw State University to contact us directly. We will do our best to provide clear and timely communication with your organization.
